Hi my name is Claire
I share my life with three canine companions that are my inspiration & help me in my work;
Otis my Labrador Cross, helps me hone my coaching and observational skills. He has recently become more involved in decoy dog work, for specially selected dogs
Gretel my young Doberman Pinscher is currently enjoying her dog sports, Canicross & Mantrailing. I am also getting much fitter in the process!
Lemmie my young spaniel who is my alarm clock! We are training in Competitive Obedience together.
I have many years dog handling, care & behaviour experience and I am a proud member of both the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association & The Guild of Dog Trainers . I also hold the CIDBT National Dog Training Instructor Certificate. I have studied with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, and the course options which I have selected focus on rescue dogs and aggression.
I work under veterinary referral, and specialize in aggression cases & fear based behaviour.
I have always enjoyed going on canine courses in my free time and have participated in a variety of different ones over the years, such as;
- clicker training
- dealing with reactivity
- Holistic Health
- balance work
- introduction to T Touch
- scentwork....and more
My dogs and I have also made some lovely friends along the way. For my personal development I attend a variety of practical workshops and CPD sessions throughout the year. I like to attend local horse and dog shows & have judged a few fun classes in the last couple of years too. I have a small trade stand which I take to a couple of events per season.
I'm so fortunate to have lovely friends and contacts within the 'doggy-world' so if you need a recommendation for a groomer, dog walker, gundog trainer, T-Touch or Zoopharmacognosy practitioner, please ask.
